About
this blog…
Being a student athlete comes with a lot of responsibilities. The grind, countless hours of school, workouts, treatments is a repeated cycle that takes sacrifice, grit, and commitment. Through this blog, my ultimate goal is to help others navigate through college as a student athlete. Furthermore, to help guide, bring experience, and provide tips on all areas of this lifestyle.
Unquestionably, there is always going to be highs that bring so much joy, but there are also struggles that go unseen. This is something that tends to be overseen by so many. No athlete should ever feel alone, and I want you to know there are many others who have experienced what you have or are currently facing. As a D1 athlete at the University of Arkansas, I want to help you in ways that have helped me and made my experience the best it could be.
About Me
My name is Jensen Scalzo. I was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where most of my time went towards gymnastics. Gymnastics has been my whole life since the age of 6.
I spent countless hours training and perfecting my craft.
Gymnastics was not always easy. I had to make a lot of sacrifices to be where i’m at today. I had to learn how to balance a social life, school, and training. When I was not flipping around, you could usually find me in the ocean.
I am very passionate about a few things other than gymnastics. Furthermore, I love using my creative side towards film, fashion, and lifestyle. Lastly, but certainly not least, I am strong in my faith and want to help and influence people in a positive way however that may look.
